CSI: Hope for Hidden Voices

Talent: American Sign Language

Sofia Lombardi is a sophomore at Rosary Academy and an Honors and AP student who thrives on creativity, leadership, and making a difference in her community. She loves expressing herself through performing, fashion, makeup, and nail artistry, and is passionate about using her creativity to inspire confidence and self-expression in others.

Inspired by this belief, Sofia created CSI: Hope for Hidden Voices, a community service initiative dedicated to supporting Deaf children and raising awareness about accessibility and inclusion. Now in her second year of studying American Sign Language, she has developed the ability to communicate directly with members of the Deaf community and is committed to creating spaces where children can express themselves freely. Through her initiative, she helps organize Deaf events, resource-sharing programs, and awareness campaigns that empower Deaf children and promote greater understanding.

For her talent, Sofia performs “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman in American Sign Language with expressive movement. The performance allows her to combine her love of music and theater with her advocacy, sharing a powerful message of confidence, belonging, and self-acceptance with every audience.

Sofia has participated in Mock Trial for five years and earned the award of Top Witness of the Year. She is also the co-founder of her school’s CHOC Care Club and is a dedicated runner, an activity that has taught her resilience, discipline, and teamwork.

Looking ahead, Sofia plans to major in business and launch her own beauty brand, combining creativity, entrepreneurship, and empowerment. Through her leadership, advocacy, and passion for helping others find their voice, Sofia strives to make a lasting impact and ensure that every voice is heard.
